TABARI McCOY
A "Rusty Nail" award-winner at the 2008 RooftopComedy.com Festival in Aspen, Colo. who has opened for nationally-known comedians such as Greg Hahn, Kyle Grooms and Mike Birbiglia, TABARI McCOY recorded his first comedy album in his basement when he was just 10. But it was terrible and much like the chest in Indiana Jones and The Lost Ark, it was filed away to never be heard again. Luckily for the public, Tabari has gotten much better with age ... and as soon as he takes the stage, you’ll have no problem hearing why.
Tabari's sense of humor reflects a wide assortment of influences that has helped shape his sense of humor. Studying many of the great comedians of the last two decades, Tabari has created a great appreciation for the humor found in everyday life and brings that with every performance. Stepping on stage for the first time, Tabari had no idea what to really expect ... Three months later, he found himself in the finals of a local comedy club’s "Funniest Person in Cincinnati" contest.
And even though he still has no idea what’s going to come out of his mouth when he steps on stage, Tabari hasn't looked back since. But no matter what he says, he says it all with one simple goal in mind: Making people laugh ... and hoping he doesn't anger his family or God in the process. Oh yeah, almost forgot - Tabari has a very nice corporate day job (or at least until he gets that sitcom deal, HBO special and three picture deal with a major movie studio - he’s got to pay the bills somehow!)
"Really funny. Really professional."
- Mike Birbiglia (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, (The Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central Presents)
"Tabari is young, funny, and kind....I can't stand him."

"Tabari is a new fresh face in comedy, that I have had the opportunity to work with on several occasions. I recommend him highly as he would be an asset to any show! Work him!!"

- Kyle Grooms (Chappelle's Show, P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy)
